#1. Open the Airtel Thanks app – If you already have the app installed on your phone, you can just open the app and start with the 3rd step. If you don’t, you would need to download it from the Play Store. It is available there for free. After you have installed it, open the app. You would need to provide your mobile number. You will receive an OTP. If you enter the correct OTP, you would be allowed to enter the app.
#2. Create an Airtel Money wallet – If you are going to make transactions, you would need to create a wallet with the app. The process is quite easy. You would need to enter your basic details and then select an identity proof. Your Airtel Money wallet would be created after that. The wallet lets you enjoy added benefits and cashback.
#3. Find the recharge option on the top ribbon – You will see that there is a ‘Recharge’ option on the ribbon. You would need to tap on it.
#4. Select DTH Recharge – There would be 3 options on the following page. Since you are trying to recharge your DTH connection, you would need to tap on the ‘DTH Recharge‘ option.
#5. Offer the DTH id and operator – First, you would need to enter the DTH id that you are using. If you do not remember that, you can even try using the user name. Since the DTH id is a unique number, it would be a much safer approach to use it. You would need to select the operator next. The Airtel Thanks app allows you to pay for all the DTH operators – Airtel DTH, Dish TV, Big TV, Tata Sky, Sun Direct TV and Videocon d2h.
#6. Enter the amount – Once you tap on ‘Submit’, the next step would require you to enter the amount for recharge. You can recharge with the amount that you feel like. You should then tap on the ‘tick’ button present underneath.
#7. Select the payment option and pay – On the next page, you would be required to select a payment gateway. You can pay through the Airtel Money wallet, credit or debit cards and other wallets. After you select the favourable option, you would need to proceed through and pay for the recharge.
